Cruise Saloon

Her beautiful interior makes the most of traditional materials such as African hardwoods and shining brass to create a warm onboard feel,
reminiscent of a classic yacht. The charming saloon is particularly welcoming, with its combination of richly coloured wooden flooring, elegant French dining furniture and comfortable banquette seating, as well as a fully stocked bar.

Personalized and attentive service waiting for you.

The four compact, cleverly-designed cabins, featuring hardwood panelling and brass portholes, offer a choice of twin or double bedded accommodation, each with en suite facilities. The spacious sundeck is shaded by an adjustable canopy and there are comfortable sun loungers and a spa pool to soak in with a glass of chilled white wine. Savannah cruises between Bram and La Redorte (or reverse route) through the flowing sunflower valley of the Lauragais into the vineyards of Crobières and Minervois

Anjodi is a very well-known hotel barge having achieved ‘film star’ status some years ago following her many appearances in the television series Rick Stein’s French Odyssey, when she carried the eponymous chef on a voyage of culinary discovery through Southern France. Why not follow in his footsteps with a cruise along the Canal du Midi, a 330-year-old canal with UNESCO World Heritage status.

"We had a wonderful time! The weather wasn’t great but we still had a lot of fun. We had a lockkeeper’s strike one day and a broken cable the next but in fact that meant that our cruising was pushed to two days with better weather so it all worked out. We hadn’t thought much about the quality of food and wine we were going to get and we were absolutely delighted with that aspect of the trip. It was very interesting to try different wines and cheeses every day with an explanation of each of them. I don’t know if we were particularly lucky with our chef, Oli, as we think he is destined for greater things than being chef on a barge. Perhaps this is the level of chef Anjodi normally has but we felt we were very privileged to have him. The captain, Laurent, was fabulous – very friendly and obviously extremely competent. He had several stressful situations to deal with on our trip and he handled them with great aplomb. Our hostess, Emily, was terrific and very attentive and Matthew, the deck hand/driver/guide, was just great too. We like to think they had fun with us as well! We have many happy memories and will certainly recommend this trip to others – and tell them to contact you! Thanks for everything you did to help us out." We were celebrating our 30th anniversary this year and wanted to do something very special. A small river or canal cruise seemed like a great way to celebrate this special occasion. We looked at a lot of different options, but a cruise on the Savannah seemed like a great way to go. We were not disappointed. We had very high expectations for this trip and the crew of the Savannah exceeded them.
